Challenge
American Express offers a card - the One Card from American Express™ - that contributes a percentage of your monthly spend into a high-yield savings account. Digitas set out to redesign the banking experience, making it easy for people to transfer money in and out while reinforcing the value of making deposits.
My role
As the sole interaction designer on this project, I planned, wireframed, and documented all aspects of the banking site.
I started with a set of wireframes that represented my vision of how the site and its flows would play out. I worked directly with clients to refine and iterate the design, incorporating business and technical requirements. I wrote functional specifications once the wireframes were finalized.
Highlights
Some aspects of the redesign:
- Highly interactive filtering and sorting mechanisms for transaction history.
- Dynamic calls-to-action and page states designed to guide the user through the process of linking and verifying an external account - customizing what they see according to their stage in the process.
- Increase user's confidence and comfort level through best practices for transactional flows.
