Challenge

As our agency's work became more and more interactive in nature, we found an increasing need to unify the way we documented Rich Internet Applications. I volunteered to work on developing a formal guide to documenting RIAs for internal communication with our developers.

My role

I co-authored a draft version of the temporal specification guide and assumed responsibility for collecting examples of documentation written using the guide and incorporating these into future revisions. I am the main point of contact for coworkers in my office as well as Digitas' Boston and Chicago offices for questions about temporal documentation.

Highlights

I interviewed coworkers in different areas of the company to learn about their needs in the documentation process. I learned about the various work flows that could occur based on the type of project. After gathering this information I put together a document that includes division of roles, information to be included in a temporal specification in various situations, and examples and templates that I had gathered.
